Our programs and services are steps to our greater vision: "To promote healthy lives."The Gardens" conduct outreach activities, intensive case management services, offer counseling services, support individuals seeking assistance with substance abuse, provide referrals for supportive services and resources. The focus of "The Gardens" is creating an accessible environment for youth, men, women, and families in our communities to receive education and resources which protect their health and well-being in what may be otherwise overlooked. The seed of growth and development started with a grant from the California Endowment, after completion of this funding "The Gardens" began moving forward, toward expanding our capabilities to reach as many people as possible by all avenues available to us.

Reopened Businesses

As the clean-up process continues in wake of the Camp Fire, some businesses in Paradise are reopening their doors. A Facebook group has been created to support businesses affected. You can find out which businesses are open HERE.

Mobile Registration Intake Centers

Mobile Registration Intake Center (MRIC): The sole function of MRICs is to register survivors. MRIC's move around regularly and may be in an area for a short period of time to reach survivors who need registration help only.

Plumas County Information:

For any displaced Butte County citizens that are currently receiving shelter and or aid in Plumas County please register with the FEMA Disaster Registry. County personnel can assist you with this registration if you do not have the ability via phone or internet.

Paradise

The town of Paradise has put together a website for anyone seeking information about the Camp Fire. To view the website, CLICK HERE.

Finding Pets/Livestock

Various shelters have been set up throughout Butte County to house animals displaced by the Camp Fire, however, the target date to close these shelters and transition the animals into long-term sheltering is Jan. 4.

There is a hotline set up for those seeking information on the reunification process.

Fostering Animals

Oroville Hospital is offering health services to anyone who needs to be treated for burns, smoke inhalation or if they are in need of medication. Evacuees can visit the following locations:

Support Services and Discounts

Christmas for Camp Fire Survivor Families

ECV (E Clampus Vitus) is putting on a Fill the Truck event so Christmas can be provided to families impacted by the Camp Fire.

The event will be held in Oroville on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Best Self Storage at 3005 Feather River Blvd.

Applications for families with a newborn to 17-year-olds can apply. You will be asked to show proof of residence in the fire zones. You can sign up by Dec. 20., but the Christmas gifts will be given away on a first-come-first-served basis.

Families who have a pregnancy with an as yet unborn child also qualify for the program.

The application forms are available at Best Self Storage in Oroville.

Chico Art Center - 450 Orange St # 6, Chico

Starting in December, the center will be opening all classrooms every Sunday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. for working spaces for any artists displaced by the fire. They will also be accepting donations at the docent desk in the gift shop from 12 - 4 p.m.

Disaster Recovery Center - Chico Mall (former Sears building) 

Open 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. starting Friday, Nov. 16. 

The center helps connect victims and evacuees with resources to help rebuild and recover. Federal, state, regional and local resources provided.

Rabobank is suspending late and overdraft fees for Camp Fire-impacted customers whose accounts are based at the bank’s Magalia, Paradise and South Chico branches. 

The AAA emergency response trailer is stationed at the Butte County Fairgrounds, 199 E Hazel St, Gridley. 

It's open daily from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and is fully staffed to help with home and auto claims. 

T-Mobile is offering free calls, texts and data to T-Mobile a Magenta prepaid customers in affected areas of the Camp Fire who are not already on an unlimited plan. 

T-Mobile is also sending chargers, loaner devices with service and other supplies like water and masks to impacted areas and select local stores. 

Several insurance companies are setting up booths on Meriam Park and East 20th Street in Chico to help Camp Fire victims with any insurance questions. 

Bidwell Presbyterian Church is opening its doors to members and friends of Craig Memorial Congregational Church of Paradise, which was destroyed in the Camp Fire.

Nantucket Home - 6th and Broadway, Chico 

They are offering 30 percent off and tax-free for upholstery lines and case good lines for evacuees of the Camp Fires.
